2012 OSCAR Final Voting is Here!

  • The final round of the OSCAR promotion if here and you, the members of District 40 get to vote for the club you feel best represents the District in each category. The clubs listed have proven themselves by submitting the most Communication and Leadership educational awards so far this Toastmasters year.

Each club was asked to put together a promotional flyer for their club in order to convince you the voting members that they are the club deserving of the award. Think of it as a “For Your Consideration” ad like the best picture nominees do every award season. Simply click on the club name to view their flyer and then select the club you think deserves the OSCAR. Pick one from each category and then click on the VOTE button. Please only vote once during this period. Duplicates will be disqualified.

Voting ends on April 25th. The votes will then be tabulated and the winners will be announced at the District 40 Spring Conference on April 27-29 at the Eastgate Holiday Inn in Cincinnati – register today!

Congratulations to all our nominated clubs and good luck in the voting.

Very difficult to read the words to re-type for verification.

  2. I didn’t know my member number or as it is on the official roster sheet that only officers have access too. It is called the customer number on our roster sheet. Wonder if we are going to have to know this number going forward for other items that we participate in for TMI or District 40? I need to write mine down and try to memorize it for future use.
    Thank you,

    • Larry Goldsmith

Your member ID is on the mailing label of your Toastmasters Magazine. However we are in the process of updating the page so that the member ID is not a mandatory field in order to submit your vote.

  3. I suggest removing the member number from the fields that are required to submit a vote – many will not go through the effort to look it up. It took me a few minutes to find it on the TMI web site.

  4. It’s not apparent why only a small number of entries are actually posted.

Each club that won the first round of competition was given the opportunity to submit a flyer to be posted on this page. When the second round was complete and our 10 finalists in each category was determined, we sent a follow up message to the nominated clubs for them to submit their flyer. We expect more flyers to be posted soon.

Are we limited to voting for only the clubs who submitted posters, or can we vote for any of the other clubs on the list? The directions are a little confusing.

    • Larry Goldsmith

No. You can vote for any club that was nominated. The flyers are extra ways the clubs are trying to win your vote.

  6. Thanks, Larry, for making it so the members don’t have to put in their member numbers. I’ve spread the word among our guests/friends and members.

  7. “There was a problem with your submission. Errors have been highlighted below.” I’ve gotten this message 7 times, but see nothing highlighted.

Have tried different e-mail addresses of mine; have done the Captcha as two words with no space, then again as two words with a space.

Can someone please give me a clue what I need to do differently?
