I’m bummed about the contest dates. While I know that we might not have had the most CCs reported, I think it would have been nice for the 7 CCs that our club submitted before December 15 to have at least been in the running.

We have just signed up 10 new members this week! Although this is wonderful news for both TI and CIC Speaks (641256), CIC Speaks will not get the recognition we deserve because of your unrealistic requirements.

You are requiring that fees and forms be received by TI by 9/30. Since our company pays renewal dues and new member fees for any new member who pays initial dues, and since the company will only do this by company-issued check, there is no way we can have all that to you by 9/30. You will get all the financial benefits, and we will get none of the credit for such an outstanding achievement. I think that is tremendously unfair.

Phil,

Small world. I was the first person ever to represent District 40 at the International World Speech Contest. That was in 1992 and guess what, the Contest was held in Las Vegas. Tthe District had been in existance for about 40 years at that time so we were overdue.. You make at least the fourth to join are little group. I’m still in Toastmasters, but have not followed our Region Champion results in many years. I am one of very few that can not only say Congratulations, but I know how you feel and what you experienced.
Welcome to District 40 Regional Winners Club. Again, I think we could all meet around a card table, HA!
